The word 'Kahaani' is derived from the Hindi word for 'Story.' Her Kahaani gives rise to Her Story.

Hi, my name is Aaila and I'm the founder of Her Kahaani!
Her Kahaani was created with one belief at its core: the wellbeing of people and the wellbeing of the Earth are inseparable. “Her” represents Mother Earth, whose story is written in the interactions between people, ecosystems, and behaviour. Her Kahaani is Her Story, and we are all a part of it. |

What We DoHer Kahaani is a psychology-based environmental education initiative, offering accessible resources, workshops, and community events that bridge:
Overall, we explore how our physical, mental, and social health are intrinsically connected to the natural environment. |
Why It Matters |
|
My academic background consists of a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and a Master of Science in Kinesiology (Health Psychology and Health Promotion). Due to my research interests in environment, health, and conservation, I am incredibly passionate about building evidence-based, culturally-inclusive initiatives that make environmental responsibility feel personal, empowering, and sustainable.
Through Her Kahaani, I aim to provide accessible tools, workshops, and educational opportunities that empower people to adopt sustainable behaviours, support their own wellbeing, and contribute positively to the health of the Earth. I believe that fostering this understanding is essential, because healing the Earth begins with how we live, think, and interact with the world around us. Her Kahaani is Her Story, the story of the Earth and our place within it. Together, we can cultivate a community where individuals shape their own actions, contribute to the health of the planet, and write a future where people and the planet thrive. |
